Questions and Answers...

Question:  Is there a charge for my child to attend JACC?

Answer:  Yes, there is currently a charge of $60 per child, per semester.

Question:  Does the parent have to stay at JACC?

Answer:  No, but if you do not stay you will have to “buy out” your points.

Question:  What are points and how do you earn them?

Answer:  Parents earn points by teaching classes, cleaning up, helping in a class, working on a committee, scheduling field trips, etc.  Each job is assigned a certain number of points and each parent must earn 600 points per week in order to participate.

Question:  Can you pay a fee for your child to attend without you?

Answer:  Yes, the fee is $600 per family per semester and there must be a parent willing to be responsible for your children.  This amount does not count toward tuition, class fees, or fundraiser buy-outs.

Question:  Do you get to pick what class your child is in?

Answer:  The classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Question:  What about lunch?

Answer:  Each person brings their own lunch, however, snacks are available for purchase.

Question:  Are fathers allowed to participate?

Answer:  Yes!  We encourage fathers to participate!  We are very excited when a father’s work schedule allows him to participate in co-op!

Question:  Do I have to pay the entire tuition in advance?

Answer:  No, you can split it up into three payments.  The first due upon registration, the second due on the first day of co-op, and the third due the fourth week of co-op.  Class fees are due at registration.

Question:  Do I have to participate in the fundraiser?

Answer:  Yes.  You can either sell product or “buy out” in the amount of $75 per family.

Question:  Are we automatically enrolled if we attended co-op in the previous semester?

Answer:  No, you must re-enrolled every semester.

Question:  Are we automatically enrolled if we send in our registration?

Answer:  No, unfortunately we have limited space available so we cannot accept everyone who applies.  All registrants must be approved by the J.A.C.C. board before they are accepted into membership and will be informed in a timely manner.
